With the newly developed rotor heating, warm air is blown over VENTAFLEX ducts into the hollow rotor blades in order to prevent ice from forming.
Due to the unique characteristics of the VENTAFLEX duct system it is particularly well suited for use in the rotor blades of wind power plants.
Because high centrifugal forces prevail in the rotor blades, the low weight of the duct system was a decisive criterion in favour of the use of VENTAFLEX.
This, coupled with the top insulating characteristics, made the developers' choice in favour of VENTAFLEX an easy one.
