Energy-efficient refurbishment of an existing building

Underground installed LAVANTUS air ducts are an integral part of the new ventilation concepts

Task

The more than 90-year company history of the renowned manufacturer of closing technology began with the registration of a patent, and since the early 1970s it has been operating increasingly internationally from its newly built headquarters in Neusäß near Augsburg. This building, which has been expanded over the years, was now to be completely renovated in line with the latest technical possibilities, in keeping with the company's philosophy of sustainability. In addition to the installation of a large photovoltaic system on the roof and extensive insulation measures, a completely new, energy-saving air supply system for the workspaces was also planned. The challenge of the refurbishment project was that the exterior of the existing building should remain visually untouched. The LAVANTUS system was the perfect solution for air transport. Invisibly laid in the ground, fresh air is fed into the interior of the building - and the fact that some of these air ducts are located under traffic areas is a solvable problem thanks to the stable material.

VENTAFLEX -solution
